Public Works Department
The Radcliff Public Works Department serves the citizens of Radcliff located in northern Hardin County. Radcliff is located next to the Fort Knox Military Reservation. The land area covers over 11 square miles and the City government provides services for over 24,000 citizens. Radcliff has over 120 miles of roads and streets, including state, county and local roads. Public Works is responsible for operating and maintaining over 76 miles of the City’s roads and streets. Snow and ice removal services for city streets are also provided.
The Public Works Department is in the process of upgrading and resurfacing the city streets as the City’s budget will allow. It is also extending City sidewalks in Radcliff for better and safer pedestrian passage. The Department also coordinates with the Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet concerning road improvement plans for state and federal highway expansions and upgrades in our area.
Vehicle Maintenance services all City owned vehicles. In addition, the Department provides general maintenance services for the City owned property, is responsible for City beautification projects, and City parks maintenance.
